For the fourth Summer in a row, we are planning another Alumni walk.
We have chosen sunny Kent again because last year it was very popular (and it looks like the weather will be sunny and dry on Sunday).
This year, we'll walk along the River Darent valley taking in the beautiful Kent villages of Eynsford and Shoreham. The walk is 8 miles in total (13 km) and we should budget about 4 hours to complete it. We'll pass lavender fields, Roman ruins, a hop farm as well as Lullingstone Castle, so there's plenty to see in addition to the stunning countryside of the North Kent Downs. At the end of the walk, for those that wish, we'll have some food and drinks at The Plough Inn which is located next to the ford in the village of Eynsford.
The walk will be guided by an experienced walker, who is also an alumnus.
- Date: Sunday the 6th of August
- Time and Meeting point: The plan is to start the walk at 11:30am from Eynsford station which can be reached by train from Victoria or Blackfriars stations (approx. 50 minutes journey time from either).
- Tickets: there is no charge for the event but there is a need to register, to help us with the planning.
Please email Eulogio (firstname.lastname@example.org) to let us know if you intend to join us.
